Top 3 Reasons to Use a Solar Protective Paint on Your Flat Roof

There are numerous benefits and advantages of using solar reflective paint. Here are the top 3 reasons we think you should consider using a solar reflective paint on your flat roof.

1. Save Time & Money on Flat Roof Repairs

Solar reflective paint saves time as it drys very quickly compared to heat welded patch repairs or complete flat roof replacement. It is also an excellent way to give an old flat roof a new lease of life. Whenever we apply solar reflective paint to a flat roof we first ensure that the roof is completely cleaned of all debris as well as any moss etc. We then fungidical wash the area and carryout any minor repairs.

2. Save Money & Future Maintenance Costs

Let’s face it. When your flat roof fails it can prove to be a costly ordeal. Especially if there is a water leak and water damage. Solar reflective paint provides an extra layer of armour on your flat roof as it takes away stress from the surface below. The sun’s heat is one of the biggest causes of flat roof failure as it constantly makes the flat roof surface expand and contract through heating and cooling.

3. Minimal Disturbance to Your Home or Business

Nobody enjoys having major work carried out in the home or business premises. Noise, dust, dirt, scaffolding and building materials can all become a nuisance. Major flat roof repairs can be disruptive especially when carried out by a roofer who is disorganised and inexperienced when it comes to London’s array of flat roof types. Therefore carrying our flat roof works like solar reflective roofing paint can dramatically reduce and minimise the disruption to you or anyone else that uses the building.

Additional costs like roof repairs are a nightmare for owners so it is indeed necessary to spend a little bit of investment to a solar protective paint. After all, it is better to prevent unnecessary damage than to fix or worst, replace a roof prematurely.
